Once they have worked closely with you to identify your requirements, they develop a process to deliver your exact needs to your deadlines. They will then co-ordinate your team throughout the process and will keep you informed every step of the way.

You can expect the whole process to follow these established stages:

• 1. Understanding your project
  We fully analyse your files, taking into account language difficulty, your target audiences, embedded graphics, coding and file structures and produce quotes for each element and timing within the process.
• 2. Project Management
  A dedicated Project Manager will be assigned to you and will work with you to develop and manage the process and timings for each of your projects. Your Project Manager will select the most appropriate linguist team, with specialist knowledge and experience within your sector.
• 3. Translation
  Your Project Manager will source certified, mother-tongue translators, ensuring existing Translation Memory is made available and all your glossaries or terminology are used as reference material. This promotes accuracy, consistency and reduces time and costs.
• 4. Editing
  Thebigword will appoint an independent, native speaker for each language to check the accuracy and consistency of our translations.
• 5. Proofreading
  Your Project Manager will source more linguists with specialist knowledge of your industry to thoroughly review your translations. They will check for readability, consistency, style and suitability to the culture of your target countries and regions.
• 6. Formatting
  Your files may need restructuring or formatting for your website. Our internal Engineering and Desktop Publishing teams ensure the highest quality results in a variety of files and formats.
• 7. Proofing
  Working with your specialist linguist team, your Project Manager will make sure all of your files and documents are complete, visually correct and consistent across all design and styles and match original formats.

They will also schedule pre-project meetings, regular progress reports and annual reviews, as required. Our Project Managers are always happy to provide you with professional advice on technical and linguistic issues. In their consulting role, they will also advise you on the best ways to tackle your translation projects.
